Redesigns and Extension Charms

This was a tough motivational week. The long winter, coupled with the same routine, can take its toll on the emotional bank. I’m coming up over the hill and can see the finish line with Walter waiting for me at the end. I just need to dig a little deeper and push this last bit out.

To help build some motivation, I first went the simple social media route. I went back to YouTube and Instagram and I started following a few new Van Lifers and got inspired by new amazing photography. I looked again at all the places I want to visit and see, remembering why I wanted to do this in the first place and got myself pumped up again.

In my perusal of new channels, I found another solo female Van Lifer. She had some interesting info and insight which led me to reevaluate my design for Walter. I also went ahead and redid my monthly van budget to accommodate these changes which left me feeling more secure about my decisions. Who knew that some adulting would boost my motivation for the van and my adventures?

I also took some time to design my storage unit layout. I currently have a small storage unit for all my offseason and beloved items. Part of my visit home next month will be to switch things out and reorganize everything to be easier to access. The storage unit will function like a giant walk-in closet storage space while I’m in my van. I’d like to come up with a neat name for it — I’m thinking something from the wizarding world would be fitting. I’m taking suggestions!

That’s all for this week. When you’re less motivated, remember what got you excited in the first place. Also, future adventures to include a possible new friend — Champy!
