A Simple Week



This has been an interesting week. Started it out with some good things for my mental health. Van life prep is coming along nicely with some exciting updates. I also have some travel plans coming together. And finishing the week out with some more plant-based food trials.
Unfortunately, I’ve let my brain tread into murky “thought waters” of late. I have a problem with ruminating over the same thought for far too long. Sometimes I come out of situations thinking that I am owed an apology, that I never receive. I know I’m not the only one who has dealt with that thought, which means we have all been guilty of not apologizing to someone at some point in our lives, and I'm sure more than once. So I sat down and wrote out the things I could honestly apologize for in this particular situation. Then I went and took action, I apologized to the person. And you know what? It completely changed my mindset about things; a weight lifted! I’m not saying this is a cure-all, but I will say that it gave me a chance to redirect my negative thoughts towards something positive, take responsibility for myself and not focus on things I have no control over, another person's actions and thoughts.

Now to Van life news - I’ve been doing some serious debt pay off and looking into remote work, both of which have been going better than I could have hoped for. This means acquiring Walter may be happening sooner than originally planned. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and good vibes flowing! And of course, I will keep you all posted.

Onward, to future travel plans!! Can you tell I’m excited about this? I will be spending some time back home in a few weeks. I would really love to hang out with as many of you rad people as I can while I’m there. Message me if that’s something you’d like to do! I also have some local and semi-local travel plans coming together for when the weather clears up a bit. Can’t wait to throw those pics up for you all!

Plant-based cooking — welp, here we are guys — I’ve been converted. I know that you didn’t click on the link to hear about Vegan eats so I won’t go on too much. (Unless taste test reviews and recipes would be something you all would be interested in — maybe a weekly Wednesday post?) I will say I feel better and really that’s what I’m looking for in my life right now. I live with chronic depression so anything that makes me feel amazing I am going to grab ahold of with both hands.
